Terms & Conditions (summary). The signed quotation and project contract govern in full. The summary below is provided for convenience only and does not replace either document.
Quotations are valid for 30 days from the date issued and are based on the scope, drawings, and site conditions available at that time. Material price fluctuations exceeding 5% between quotation and pour may be passed through. A deposit of 20–30% of the contract value is required to hold a scheduled pour date; the balance is due per the payment schedule set out in the quotation. Late payments accrue interest at 2% per month (26.82% per annum). Change orders must be authorized in writing before additional work is performed.
Client responsibilities include: providing safe and unobstructed site access for pump, mix, and pour crews; obtaining all municipal permits unless expressly assumed by Caesers in writing; calling BC 1 Call for utility locates prior to any excavation; supplying architectural and structural drawings; providing water and 15 A power on site; and removing existing structures or debris to expose the pour area. Delays caused by client, client's other trades, or third parties are chargeable at Caesers' standard daily rate.
Warranty. Workmanship is warranted for twelve (12) months from substantial completion. Structural warranty is provided per the BC Building Code and, where applicable, the BC Homeowner Protection Office. Concrete inherently cracks; hairline cracks of less than 2 mm, shrinkage cracks, surface crazing, minor colour variation, and efflorescence are normal characteristics of concrete and are not warranty defects. Warranty is void where the work is subsequently modified, penetrated, chemically treated, exposed to freeze/thaw without proper sealing, or otherwise altered by anyone other than Caesers.
Insurance & compliance. Caesers maintains $5,000,000 CGL coverage, remains in good standing with WorkSafeBC, is bonded for commercial engagements, and complies with the BC Building Code, CSA A23.1/A23.2 for concrete materials and testing, and all applicable municipal by-laws. Certificates of insurance and WorkSafeBC clearance letters are available on request.
Weather, cold-weather pours, and force majeure. Caesers reserves the right to reschedule pours where weather threatens quality or safety. Cold-weather pours (below 5 °C ambient) may incur additional charges for heated enclosures, blankets, accelerated mix designs, or cure monitoring. Neither party is liable for delays or failure to perform caused by acts of God, severe weather, strikes, government orders, pandemics, or other events beyond reasonable control. Concrete curing takes approximately 7 days for typical foot traffic and 28 days for full design strength; the client agrees to observe published cure times before loading, cutting, or coating the pour.
Cancellation. Cancellations received prior to material ordering are refunded less a 5% administration fee. After materials are ordered, material costs are non-refundable. Once work has commenced, the client is liable for all work performed to that date, plus materials, plus a demobilization fee.
Portfolio & marketing. Caesers reserves the right to photograph completed work and use those images for portfolio, website, and marketing purposes. Clients may opt out at the time of contract signing by written notice.
Lien rights. Caesers' rights under the BC Builders Lien Act are expressly preserved. Nothing in a quotation, contract, or these summary terms waives Caesers' ability to file a construction lien for unpaid work or materials.
Privacy. Information submitted through the quote request form (name, contact information, project details, photos, drawings) is used solely to prepare an estimate and communicate with the customer. Data is stored on Neon (Postgres) and Cloudflare R2, both encrypted in transit and at rest, and is not sold or shared with third-party marketers. Customers may request data deletion by emailing coastlineconcrete00@gmail.com.
Dispute resolution & governing law. The parties agree to attempt good-faith mediation of any dispute prior to arbitration or litigation. Any unresolved dispute shall be governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, with venue in the courts of Vancouver, BC.
